3 Ways to Show Jesus to Your Kids Today
ONE
Show them LOVE.
Tell them 3 things you love about them. Not just things that they do, pick three things about their character.
"I love that God made you to be compassionate - you are such a good example to your siblings! I love that you are patient with me while I cook dinner! I love that you were brave today whenever we were swimming in the pool!"
"We love because he first loved us." (1 John 4:19)
TWO
Show them GRACE.
Just like we learned last week in Club Theolaby, we all fall short of the glory of God. So today choose to intentionally show grace in a hard moment. Make sure to teach your child in that situation that God has shown us grace time and time again - so now it's our turn to show that same grace to one another.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:18)
THREE
Show them JOY.
It's time to have some fun! Turn on some music and have a dance party, play a board game, eat a picnic dinner outside... find time today to build a joyful memory with your kids by spending screen-free time with them.
"Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him. These good gifts come down from the Father who made all the lights in the sky." (James 1:17)
